Fethullah Gulen and the Global Hizmet [Service] Movement in Prespective Monday, November 4 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM St. Mary’s University, McGiveney Hall Dr. Jon Pahl captures the inspiring story of a modern saint in the first full biography of Fethillah Gulen. It recounts the tireless work of one Muslin trying to change history by leading a global movement of service to all humankind. Dr. Pahl will reflect on the life of this relatively unknown figure in the West, and Gulen’s rise to infamy and eventual exile from Turkey, his homeland. Dr. Michael Duggan, professor emeritus of Religios studies from St. Mary’s University, will speak to the urgency of interreligious dialogue in our time.
