Wrapping Our First Responders in Compassion This Lenten project will begin on Wednesday, March 11th, in our parish hall. For 4 weeks in March, one day/week, interested people are invited to spend a few hours putting together a quilt. Begins Wednesday, March 11 from 10 am - 3:30 pm. DATES: Wed, Mar 11, Mon, Mar 16, Wed, Mar 25, and Tues, Mar 31. Lunch is provided. Our goal is to make 2+! Become involved with this ministry that provides beautiful handmade quilts to first responders battling with PTSD or depression. Come and share some of your time this lent. You don’t have to be a quilter; there is something for everyone to do: Cutters; pressers [using an iron – even I can do that!!]; layout/designing; sorters of materials; hospitality – making coffee, lunch; gofers If you need to get rid of a stash of cotton quilting fabric [good quality & washes well], or batting, it will be joyfully accepted Bring a portable sewing machine, if you are a sewer; sewing kits; scissors; rulers; cutting mats More information available in the bulletin and on our parish website, over the coming weeks Check out: www.quilts4everydayheroes.com This compassionate ministry is facilitated under the direction of Patti Jo [Scott] Haley, our former parish music coordinator.
