October is a Marian Month, the month popularly known as the month of the Rosary. 'Marian Months' must always reflect and support the context of the Liturgical Year. The rosary is a prayerful reflection on the entire Paschal Mystery. Each Wednesday morning at 9:30 am, we will follow our Communion Service or Mass with a Marian Liturgy. We invite you to participate. We also encourage our parishioners to pray the Rosary -- perhaps daily -- perhaps with your family after supper. Some suggestions: pray a decade of the rosary or an entire rosary for someone specific who is unwell, someone who is carrying a very heavy cross right now, a particular priest, a grandchild/child, a special teacher, etc. If all of us were to pray one rosary/day during the month of October, who knows what special graces may bless the lives of the people for whom we have prayed.
